PCH cuts through the village as Coast Highway, four lanes with angled bays and pedestrians stepping off at Marguerite and Goldenrod on the coffee run. Speed collapses between Avocado and Poppy on any decent Saturday. South of that line, Ocean Boulevard traces the bluff above Big Corona with meters along one side and a drop to the sand on the other, ending at Inspiration Point above Orchid.

Numbered and flower-named side streets were platted narrow, and most houses fill their lots to the line with one garage tucked behind. Kerb space is contested, so a long wheelbase hangs into the pavement. Across the harbour mouth the Wedge draws a crowd on a south swell and the spaces around Ocean and Channel are gone before eight. Driving anything wide, stay on Coast Highway rather than threading Bayside Drive at the weekend.
Handover in Corona del Mar
Down the 405, onto the 73, then MacArthur to Coast Highway: 75 to 85 minutes from the 90045 base, with the 5 no quicker once Irvine thickens. A booking placed before lunch usually goes out the same afternoon. Handover tends to be a side street off Coast Highway or a Marguerite driveway rather than the timed bays outside the village shops. Where the house has a rear alley garage, flag it and the driver comes in that way. The fee begins at $100 and is spelled out before you agree to anything.

Will a large SUV fit the garages and alleys off Marguerite Avenue?
Often not. Plenty of village properties have single-width garages reached from a rear alley, and something the size of a Cullinan takes several attempts or ends up on the street. The X3, the CLE 300 Cabriolet or a saloon goes in cleanly. Measure the opening if it matters, and mention it at booking so the right car is loaded.
Where can the car sit overnight if the house has no driveway?
Streets close to Coast Highway are metered or time-limited, and enforcement bites on weekday mornings. Most guests use the property's alley garage or a permit-marked space instead. Anyone staying at a Newport Beach hotel can hand the car to valet. During handover the driver will point out the nearest unrestricted block if nothing else is available.
What is the minimum rental period?
