Living with the BMW M4 Cabriolet in Los Angeles

The M4 Cabriolet is the value convertible for the PCH run — most of the open-top experience of a 911 for meaningfully less per day, with rear seats that actually take two people. It is the car we send north from Santa Monica more than any other.

The M4 Cabriolet is the emotional car of our fleet. With the top down on PCH or Mulholland, it makes the city feel like part of the rental. At $4,200/month, it's 30-40% cheaper than comparable convertible options at other local competitors.

What matters here

Best for

It's also a real daily driver. Comfortable enough for everyday commuting, fast enough to make it enjoyable, and well-insulated when the top is up. A usable performance convertible for the whole month. Full terms — deposit, mileage, extensions and returns — are on the rental policy page.

Frequently asked about the BMW M4 Cabriolet

M4 Cabriolet or Porsche 911 Cabriolet for a PCH day?
The 911 is the sharper drive and the better car on a canyon road. The M4 is more usable — four seats, a bigger boot, quieter with the roof up, and less per day. For a coast run with friends, most people are happier in the M4.
Does the M4 Cabriolet still have a boot with the roof down?
Some of it. The folding hard top eats into the space, so pack before you drop it rather than after — a common mistake on the first PCH run. With the roof up it is a normal boot, and it is far quieter than a fabric top at freeway speed.
What does the BMW M4 Cabriolet cost to rent in LA?
The BMW M4 Cabriolet is from $4,200/month, with daily and weekly rates for a coast trip rather than a stay. 100 miles a day included, deposit from $500.
Is there a minimum age to rent the BMW M4 Cabriolet?
No minimum age, no young-driver fee. A valid licence and a deposit is the whole requirement.
Where do I collect the BMW M4 Cabriolet?
Most convertible bookings run from LAX (90045), which is fifteen minutes from Santa Monica and the start of PCH. Hollywood (90028) is the alternative.
