The luxury half of the fleet is what people keep. Where an exotic is booked for a day, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Mercedes-AMG GT 43 or Range Rover Sport tends to go out for a fortnight or a month — and the qualities that matter shift from presence to whether the car is still pleasant in week three.
In practice that means the quiet ones win. The AMG GT 43 is a grand tourer rather than a muscle car and is comfortable over the freeway hours that make up most Los Angeles driving. The Genesis G80 is among the quietest things we run at any price. The Cullinan is the one exception that is both — an occasion car with a rear seat you would happily sit in for a month.
Rates run from $1,900/month at this end of the fleet up to $9,200 for the Cullinan, all with 100 miles a day included and a deposit from $500. Past about three weeks the monthly rate is dramatically cheaper than the same car booked daily, and we will move a long booking on to it rather than let it run.
